Infectious disease epidemiologist & health services researcher, Public Health Ontario & University of Toronto

Kevin Brown is an infectious disease epidemiologist and health services researcher at Public Health Ontario and the University of Toronto. He received his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto and his MSc in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina. He studies patient outcomes associated with the health care system, especially as applied to antimicrobial resistance. His research has focused on creating reproducible indexes of antibiotic C. difficile risk, developing dynamic multilevel transmission models for healthcare-associated infections, and documenting geographic variation in diagnosis, prescribing, and patient outcomes.
