UK Paediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Antimicrobial Paediatric Prescribing Guidelines Open for Consultation

23rd November 2020

Draft paediatric antimicrobial prescribing guidelines are now open for public consultation.

These guidelines have been prepared by a working party of paediatric specialists from around the UK, led by Dr Paddy McMaster.

The guidelines aim to reduce inappropriate prescribing among paediatric patients, reduce unnecessary variance between guidelines in different hospitals and ultimately, decrease the likelihood of the emergence of antimicrobial resistance. Recommendations are evidence based and are aligned with NICE guidelines where available.
