Timothy Luxton

Timothy Luxton obtained his BSc (Hons) in Biology (Industry) from the University Leeds in 2017. As part of his undergraduate degree, he spent 1 year in Singapore at the Agency of Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), working in Sir David Lane’s lab and under Dr Chris Brown. Following his undergraduate study, he worked in a GMP lab from 2017-2018 before starting his PhD at the University of Leeds in 2019. As part of a larger RID-AMR project at Leeds, his PhD research is focused on developing a rapid biosensor to measure β-lactam concentrations in patient samples for therapeutic drug monitoring purposes.
