Professor Roberto La Ragione, Head of the Department of Pathology and Infectious Diseases and Deputy Head of the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey

Professor Roberto La Ragione is a veterinary microbiologist with a particular interest in zoonotic bacterial pathogens of livestock & companion animals.  His current research focuses on understanding the pathobiology of zoonotic pathogens, antimicrobial resistance and the development of novel intervention strategies, including diagnostics, vaccines and probiotics. Roberto is currently Professor of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology, Head of the Department of Pathology and Infectious Diseases and Deputy Head of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey.
