Prof Davies works between the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London and the Royal Brompton Hospital. Her main clinical and research interests are in cystic fibrosis and include trials of new therapies, airway infection and inflammation. She directs a CF Trust-funded Strategic Research Centre on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, bringing together scientists, clinicians and allied health professionals around this commonest of CF pathogens. The SRC seeks to improve detection, understanding and treatment of Pseudomonas with a range of projects including point-of-care detection systems and antibiotic resistance breaker drugs.
