Emilie Alirol holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Geneva and an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has over 10 years experience in clinical research and has managed several multinational trials in high- and low-resources countries. Emilie started her career as a Clinical Research Associate in the Clinical Trials Unit of Geneva University Hospitals, focusing on infectious diseases diagnostic and therapeutic trials. In 2013 she joined Médecins Sans Frontières as the Clinical Trial Manager of the TB-PRACTECAL trial, a trial investigating new and shorter antibiotics treatment regimens for Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis. In August 2016 Emilie joined GARDP as a Project Leader for the Sexually Transmitted Infections Program.
