GP, Medical Adviser & Chair NICE Managing Common Infections Committee, NHS

Tessa has been a GP partner, Wales since 1995. As medical adviser, she has led and supported the development of therapeutic guidance, including the Wales UTI Quality Improvement tool ( 2019/21 GP contract) and is medical adviser to PHE Primary care interventions unit.

She has been involved in various NICE workstreams including Antimicrobial Stewardship[NG15], Quality Standards and Indicators Advisory Committees and is a NICE fellow.

She works with colleagues to support the awareness, discussion and implementation of NICE guidance. Interests include antimicrobial stewardship, controlled drugs, anticoagulation, polypharmacy, multimorbidity and medication review.
