Dr Rajvinder Khasriya

Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Eastman Dental Institute, Department of Microbial Diseases, UCL, Principal Clinical Investigator Bladder Infection & Immunity Group (BIIG).

Areas of interest: Rajvinder is a Consultant in Urogynaecology at the Whittington Hospital and UCLH and lead for the Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Service at Whittington Health, Rajvinder’s Clinical research interests lie in chronic UTI; diagnostic methods, pathophysiology and treatment. Her current focus of research is looking at causation of UTI, understanding antimicrobial resistance and the development of new treatment strategies.

Raj completed her undergraduate studies at University College London (UCL) and she went on to complete a PhD at UCL in 2011; Thesis: ‘The role of bacterial infection in the aetiology of the overactive bladder’ under the supervision of Professor James Malone-Lee and Prof Mike Wilson at the Eastman Dental Institute. She completed Subspecialty Urogynaecology training at UCLH in 2018. She was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2012 and Subspecialty accreditation in 2018.

She was appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Eastman Dental Institute, Department of Microbial Diseases and is the principle clinical investigator for the Bladder Infection & Immunity Group (BIIG).
