Jessica Blair is an Associate Professor of antimicrobial resistance in the Institute of Microbiology and Infection, University of Birmingham. Jess graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2006 and the University of Birmingham with a PhD in antimicrobial resistance in 2010. Dr Blair was awarded a BBSRC David Phillip’s Fellowship in 2015 and now leads a research group in the IMI investigating various aspects of antibiotic resistance with particular focus on the molecular mechanisms of resistance in Gram negative bacteria.
