Dr Antonia Ho, Clinical Senior Lecturer, MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research & Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases, NHS Greater Glasgow & Lanarkshire

Toni is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research and an Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases at NHS Greater Glasgow and Lanarkshire.

Her research focuses on the epidemiology of influenza infection and other respiratory viruses. She has led a number of prospective cohort studies characterising influenza and COVID-19 burden, risk factors for severe disease, in addition to viral-bacterial interactions in Malawi and UK. Additionally, she is using metagenomic and target enrichment next-generation sequencing technology to enhance the diagnosis of respiratory viral infections. She is the recruitment lead for the ISARIC Clinical Characterisation Protocol UK study, which has recently recruited for COVID-19, monkeypox, paediatric hepatitis of unknown aetiology.
