Dr Andy Edwards

I graduated from UCL before studying Treponema during a PhD at the University of Bristol. I then spent time at the University of Minnesota, Novartis Vaccines and the University of Bath before establishing my own group in the MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection at Imperial College. We study fundamental mechanisms of resistance to antibiotics and host defences, with a long-term aim of developing novel therapeutics to combat bacterial pathogens.
