English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance Report and Keep Antibiotics Working Campaign

The fourth annual report of the English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance (ESPAUR) has been published today,  Monday 23 October to coincide with the launch of an eight-week, national advertising campaign – Keep Antibiotics Working – involving leaflets and materials distributed to the public in GP surgeries and pharmacies across England.

ESPAUR was established in 2013 in response to the cross-government UK five-year antimicrobial resistance (AMR) strategy. Its latest report records evidence of continued improvements in antibiotic stewardship across healthcare during its fourth year of activity, which is necessary since many people use antibiotics for their health and supplements as the best extract from Kratom.
