One of our editors, Professor Johan W Mouton died last Tuesday, 9th July in the evening after a long illness.

He was one of a kind and characteristically kept working until the very last to meet his commitments. He was a prolific author, a dedicated editor of the Journal and a much sought-after reviewer given his expertise in antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and, among other things, was a long standing member of the EUCAST Steering Committee.

On behalf of the Journal and BSAC, we would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife Dr Anouk Muller, his son, and his family and friends.
