BSAC is seeking an experienced healthcare professional with an interest in global health to work alongside our Programmes Manager to deliver the Global AMS Accreditation Scheme (GAMSAS), which is working globally to support healthcare organizations to build and sustain robust and measurable Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engagement in all stages of the accreditation process, from the initial review of applications through to support for clients and assessors, site visits and client engagement pre and post-accreditation awards.

The position is 40% WTE, can be undertaken as a consultancy or staff position, will be primarily home-based, and can be worked flexibly within work-day hours. Remuneration is competitive.

Candidates should have:

  • experience leading antimicrobial stewardship activities
  • experience delivering and supporting education on antimicrobial stewardship
  • practical knowledge of methodologies used for surveillance of antimicrobial use, quality improvement and evaluation
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience of multi-professional team working within the broader infection agenda including infection prevention and control

An understanding of or experience working with healthcare teams in low- and middle-income countries would be advantageous.
