We will shortly be announcing a funding call as part of our 2020-2021 COVID-19 funding programme.

This will be a worldwide call focussing on translational research of COVID-19 and its impact on infection management, specifically addressing antimicrobial stewardship. To this end we will be inviting qualitative or qualitative research proposals in the areas of:

• Automated diagnosis and quantitative analysis of COVID-19
• Bacterial and fungal co-Infection and secondary Infections in patients with COVID-19
• Coronavirus disease treatment & management
• COVID-19 vaccine development pipeline
• How is COVID-19 accelerating the threat of antimicrobial resistance, particularly in resource limited settings?

Awards will be valued at $20,000 to $100,000 and awards will be made no later than 30 September 2021.
