Draft Paediatric Common Infections Pathways are now available for public consultation.

These pathways have been prepared by a Working Party of paediatric specialists, led by Dr Sanjay Patel, in line with the BSAC’s policy for guideline production.

The pathways aim to improve antimicrobial stewardship and promote ambulation for children presenting with common infections to hospitals in the UK and Ireland. These pathways are particularly important during these challenging times in terms of admission avoidance/reduced length of stay.

For the purposes of the consultation, pdf versions of the pathways are available to view, alongside a document that details how the pathways have been developed. Once the consultation is concluded, the pathways will be converted to html format and made freely available via the BSAC website.

Please return comments by completing the form and sending to chorner@bsac.org.uk by 5pm, Monday 2nd November 2020.
