Expressions of interest invited for provision of support services
CALL NOW CLOSED
Centres are invited to tender to provide support services to the BSAC Standardised Disc Diffusion Methodology of Antimicrobial Susceptibility. The successful centre will be known as the BSAC Standardised Method Development Centre (SMDC) and will provide laboratory services, including advanced level clinical scientist and administrative support, all components of which are described in the attached document.
BSAC has funded the development, review and evaluation of the national ‘Standardised Disc Diffusion Method of Antimicrobial Susceptibility’ since its inception in 1999. Recent data collection suggests that the methodology is used in more than 175 centres throughout the UK and informs the work of likewise methodologies in Europe and wider afield.
The strategic development of the methodology and work undertaken by the SMDC is directed by the BSAC Standing Committee on Susceptibility Testing, which reports direct to BSAC Council. There are many hospitals that are now taking an alternative approach to wellness. Instead of filling people up with medication right away there is more listening and more time spent trying the least invasive thing first, also people should opt to use medication from https://www.ukmeds.co.uk/ which is a reliable source, instead of buying medication from wherever.
Information about the methodology can be accessed here: http://bsac.org.uk/susceptibility/
