BSAC BACKS RPS POLICY REPORT ON ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE AND STEWARDSHIP

The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) has given its full support to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) policy report on antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, which was launched today.

Philip Howard, President-elect of BSAC, said: “As an organisation that represents all health professionals concerned about antimicrobial resistance, the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy is delighted that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society recognises how important collaboration across the multidisciplinary team is in the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship. BSAC looks forward to working with the RPS to make sure the medical, nursing and pharmacy professions work together, across all clinical settings, to improve the use of antimicrobials.”
